Developing boys to reach their full potential and supporting boys with limited resources has been the mission of AAMOBOYS since 1994. Parents are busy with their lives, so AAMOBOYS provides the “Circle of Care” village through enhanced world knowledge, education, career development, and higher education networking.
Decades

AAMOBOYS celebrated its 32nd year Anniversary in 2026. Our success stories show proof that our methods work, as our oldest alumni boys are now in their 40s.

Programs
Girls & Boys Chess Program
AAMOBOYS brings chess instruction directly to schools and community organizations, giving girls and boys opportunities to build critical-thinking skills, confidence, focus, and sportsmanship through the game of chess.
During the 2025–2026 school year, our Chess Program served students at 10 Long Beach Unified School District schools—8 elementary schools and 2 middle schools—as well as the Sankofa Program and the Girls Club of Los Angeles during the summer.
Our 2025–2026 Impact
♟️ 823 students participated in our chess programs
♟️ 132 students competed in a chess tournament for the very first time
♟️ 12 tournaments attended—10 local and 2 national
🏆 74 trophies earned by our student chess players (10 team, 64 individual)
🏫 10 LBUSD schools and 2 organizations served
